Lánnang-uè included in grassroots infographic initiative

Updated: Oct 27, 2021

Soleil Phoebe Vinoya and her team spearheaded an infographic project that translates COVID-19 related information to Philippine languages. Philippine Hybrid Hokkien (Lánnang-uè) is included as one of these languages, thanks to Serina Alonzo, for the initiative and Wilkinson Gonzales, for the translation.

A repost of the original post can be found below:

Hello!

Since there's not a lot of infographics that are translated in our languages, and understanding even the simplest ways of preventing the spread of COVID-19 is vital, I created a set of infographics to help! I (unfortunately) only know English and Filipino, but I was able to get help from the members of UP Samahang Linggwistika (esp. Quennie, Sher-Anne, Shanah, Kyla, Kiara, Earl +++) to translate or look for translators! 💜

This project has a long way to go, but I hope this will be able to help remember these ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19 better!! If you're also interested in helping out with the translations or if you know someone who can help translate, you are most welcome to help!!

You can download the HD copy of the infographics here.

Note that though the following translations may not be exact, they were done by my friends and their contacts who are native speakers of the language. Should there be any mistakes or edits (the translators or I) have made, feel free to message me! - Soleil Phoebe Vinoya (Facebook, March 17, 2020)
