I am half Chinese, half Filipino. I don’t speak Hokkien (in the Philippine context) or Lannang-ue well but I do know Mandarin. I’ve been a Chinese tutor to and a teacher at Chinese schools in the Philippines. Now, I’m currently a Chinese translator. I love learning languages so I also do know Japanese at an intermediate level. I also want to learn my heritage language, as many FilChis probably call Fukien or Hokkien, specially Philippine Hokkien or Lannang-ue, which is why I joined TLA. Thankfully, through the efforts of TLA, learning Lannang-ue has become easier through its proposed Lannang Orthography.
