I teach linguistics and Chinese Mandarin at the University of the Philippines Diliman. I am currently engaged in different Philippine language documentation projects, and presently working with the Buhid Mangyan community in Oriental Mindoro in building a dictionary for their language. My research is mostly on the morphosyntactic structures of Philippine languages. However, I am also interested in studying second/foreign language learning, as well as language contact. In my spare time, I volunteer in The Chinoy Archives.
