Ashley CUA

I'm Ashley Cua, a creative writing student at the University of the Philippines Diliman and a member of the UP Chinese Student Association. I was raised in a mix of English, Filipino, and Lánnang-uè, and I aim to explore and engage with Lánnang-uè in both nonfiction and fiction—writing that uplifts, critically examines, and represents the Chinese-Filipino community as part of the broader Filipino nation. When I’m not writing, I enjoy researching post-3.11 Japanese literature, Chinese-Filipino literature, and watching musicals.
